Mamas & Papas All Terrain Prams

An all terrain pram - sendtc.com writes - is one designed to deal with rough surfaces, such as cobblestones, woodland paths and muddy fields. They usually have large all-terrain rubber tyres unlike standard pushchairs, which are made of air-filled tyres which can easily go flat.

They often feature a reversible seat (world or parent-facing) and can be adapted to carseats or a carrycot. They should be light and easy to fold, so they are convenient for travelling.

1. Mama & Papas Ocarro

The Mamas & Papas Ocarro is a great pushchair for any family looking for an all-terrain pram. It's large and sturdy with dual suspension, large wheels and a large lying-flat seat that promotes a healthy sleep. It also comes with an umbrella for the sun with a rain cover, as well as a cup holder to meet your needs for outings. The Ocarro is easy to steer and easy to fold. It takes less than five minutes to fold it and the handle is designed to give you complete control.

The Ocarro offers a wide range of features to keep your baby happy with a head pillow and chest pads that are cushioned. It has several recline positions, which include an upright position for safe napping while on the move. It can also be used with either parent facing or forward facing. It also has reflective trims and an integrated ventilation system that helps baby stay cool and comfortable.

The design is stunning and the fabric is luxurious. I really liked the brown leather trim on the handles and the bumper bar. It's heavier than other buggies we tested, but it feels like an excellent product. This is a great pushchair to take to the parks, walking in the countryside, and getting on and off public transportation.

The Ocarro is available as a four piece pushchair, or as part of a complete travel system with carrycot and car seat (both sold separately). The Ocarro is safe from birth, and includes everything you need to go on big adventures. The carrycot comes with the ability to lie flat and a apron that is magnetic, which tucks away quietly and quickly. It also has a hood and air vent to keep baby snug in all weathers.

2. Cybex Avi

The Cybex AVI is a running stroller that allows you and your child to run in comfort. It has a unique front wheel that can be locked to provide stability, and it is extremely light and easy to steer. It is also suitable for use with any Cybex or gb infant car seats using the optional adapters.

The Avi is also available in the "One Box" option, which includes the frame, seat pack and canopy all in one box. It is very easy to put together, which will save you time and money.

This is a great option for parents who are committed to their running and want to stay active with their babies. It was designed to run with children from birth and can be used with any Cybex or gb car seat. It comes with a single-pull harness tightening system that is quick and simple and also comes with a built-in foot brake for maximum control.

It is a sleek design and comes with air-filled tires as well as a comfortable, adjustable sports seat for your child. It also features reflective details to increase visibility and an XL sun canopy that offers UPF 50+ protection.

It is not recommended to use it on hard or rocky terrains, and there is no reclined position available for infants. It should also be used at a walking pace, not jogging or running.

Genevieve Gregson is a three-time Olympic finalist and 2x world champion finalist. She is also a running coach for Gregson Running and an Australian record holder. We asked her to put the Cybex Avi running stroller through its paces. Here is what she had to say:

3. BOB Sport Utility

BOB Sport Utility is the ideal stroller for outdoor adventures that are off the beaten path. It has a fixed front tire for extra stability when walking or jogging. It also features pneumatic knobby wheels on high-impact polymer rims, as well as a handbrake to give you better control of downhill. It also features simple two-step folding that makes it easy to carry and store. This baby jogger has an adjustable handlebar to accommodate parents of all sizes as well as an enormous canopy that features an open window so you can keep an eye on your child. You can pair it with car seats for an infant to make the ultimate travel system.

The BOB Sport Utility's biggest drawback is its lack of maneuverability. It received an average score of 6 out of 10. The stroller isn't easy to turn in tight spaces, such as shops and cafes, since it requires you to tip it back. It is a breeze to push on flat surfaces though and has a smooth rolling motion and adjustable tracking that kept it straight during our testing.

This stroller has single action brakes that are easy to use and sandal-friendly. It also comes with a deceleration handbrake that helps you easily slow down while running and relieves the pressure of having to use your feet. The only drawback is it requires you to take off your brake handle to activate it. This can be frustrating during running.

BOB also has adapters for accessories to fit a variety of infant car seats on this stroller making it an ideal option for families with several children. It took us 5:24 minutes in total to set up the BOB Sport Utility from packing and putting it together.

4. Cybex Aton

Cybex is known for making seats that are high quality and feature easy to use features. This seat is no exception. It is among our top car seats for infants. This is mostly due to its design and the fact that it is compatible with the majority of Cybex strollers and some from other manufacturers as well to be used as a Travel System. The seat also comes with great safety features.

In our infant Car Seats tests the Cybex Aton scores above average in both forward-facing and rear-facing installation and comfort. The headrest can be adjusted to 11 different heights and has a no-rethread harness that makes it easy to ensure the straps are correctly adjusted as your child grows. Cybex seats also feature an extra load leg at the base to reduce the risk of a crash causing rotation and an anti-rebound safety feature to help keep your child in the middle of the seat.

The Aton is iSize certified from birth and is compatible with the Cybex Base M isofix base to add an extra layer of security. It also features an innovative linear side impact protection that absorbs and redirects the forces of an impact away from your baby. Unfortunately, the Aton's short shell may not be suited to compact all terrain buggy cars in the same way as other models. And its canopy is small and doesn't have a peek-aboo window.

Another issue is the cost. It's a pricey seat, especially when you consider how much better it performs over the rest of our tests. Fortunately, there are several other excellent choices on the market at cheaper prices.
